Just picked up a pair on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280311544622&ru=http://shop.ebay.com:80/%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm38.l1313%26_nkw%3D2803 11544622%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1).
Curious to see what they sound like...certainly look like they're in great shape. Talked with the owner over the phone, he seems like a pretty chill dude.

Wow, sounds like a lot of $$ for a pair of speakers that probably have a ton of hours on them. Let us know how they sound!

Based on condition and the owners's/appraiser's comments, it sounds like they've hardly been played throughout their life. Original owner was a US Army guy who bought them in Germany, then sold them to the 2nd owner who told me he's logged less than 20 hours on them.
Of course, depending on your perspective, this might or might not be a good thing...
It is a lot of cash for speakers, but as a guitarist I'm hoping these will have a large bang-for-buck in recording quality & inspiration.

Congratulations! I have a silver Vox speaker but it has a transitional cone (the very first cone used in Greenbacks). Sounds like these are nearly (or totally) the same as the 60's Blues. You'll have a truly authentic sound now! :Coolio:

Well, since they were tested by an expert tech, you already have a pretty good idea:
