ok, no disrespect, but i felt it's actually a let down so far. Last season was great, but there's been a lot of unrealistic writing so far.But Palmer making deals and talking personally with top terrorists? Sending Jack to his death? kurtis goes nuts and loses his head with a nuk in the balance? helicopter gunships having no infrared to see jack and assad running lollydolly down the sidewalk? I mean, come on! I thought this show had an especially good year last year, but now this? and the special effects? the explosions have been fake, and that nuclear blast was like someone had a campfire two doors down from where Jack was laying on the ground and they added a mushroom cloud on the top. i'm thinking it will get better once they get that evil mastermind from last year that orchestrated everything back in the picture like they showed in the previews for next week.... hate to dog on the show, but friggin come on!

This is gonna be my first season to watch in realtime for me....I just discovered 24 in the summer and watched all 5 seasons in a row within about 3 weeks....lots of 7 hour nights watching.

And I could tell already they were using better actors, instead of the cardboard cutouts from infomercials they had in the past.

But James Cromwell as Jack's Dad is gonna be killer. He's really good. I've seen him play both evil + kind, so there's no telling which way he'll go. But I can almost guarrantee he'll go both ways, b4 we know which he really is.

This season ain't gonna suck.

I am very proud of my 24 ring as well. :Coolio: I never noticed there were actually 2 different tones, so i use the "tad tad - teeroooo" for calls, and the "teeh-rooo" for text messages.

I love this season. They had the balls to write in a nuke going off in L.A., the overreaction of detaining Arabs, making Richie Cunningham into Jack's brother, and there's no way that kid isn't Jack's. Him and blue eyes traded too many glances.

I do feel they're going a little overboard with the "see the good Muslims?" We get it. But that's the world we're in.

I loathe the President's sister. She's more annoying than Sherry Palmer and Jack's daughter combined. Can't stand the CTU Backstreet Boy either. Chloe's boyfriend is fun.

There have been some things about this season that's really really cheezy, like that scene with the "dipswitches" instead of red/blue wire. Hello, it's been done a million times already. Also, the scene with Chloe and the 2 guys, where they're almost fighting and she breaks it up, telling both of them how she loves the one guy or whatever. How lame was that? I almost couldn't believe I saw seeing that cheeze.

So i crumbled and watched all 13 episodes back to back on the weekend.
Partly cause i was curious to see if it gets as bad as you all
make out it does.

Maybe it's cause i didn't have to wait week to week for one
episode, or maybe cause my expectations were lowered, but
i still really enjoyed it!

I AM, however, at the stage now where even if i dont guess
a 'twist', i'm totally not surprised by it. As if i'm prepared for
just about anything to happen cause i know the history of
the show. So this has taken a little bit of the excitement away
from me, but i still love it.

Audrey is EASILY still alive. Either Jack goes back to China in an exchange, or next season takes place in China with Jack staging a rescue. I wouldn't mind the latter, 'cause I'm weary of EVERYTHING happening in LA. Maybe Jack in China becomes the movie, and Ricky S. takes over as chief terrorist stopper on the series.

I dunno. I still enjoy the series, but they'll need to shake things up at some point or it will run out of steam.

If next season is staged entirely in LA, I'm going to lose it. The last episode was ridiculous. Jack drops from the helicopter and ends up within 5 minutes walking distance of Audrey's dad's house? They're asking waaaay too much of us now in the suspension of disbelief department.

Please, no more terrorists running amok in LA. It's been done to death and back again already.
