Ah, Charles, with that line you gave me another fifteen minutes of reaching for the starzz...
Frankly, it's a great concept...even when one is working ITB, dare to 'step outside your own' and do something different, even unique. I really love your approach...
Great interview this week. You really delved into some meaty territory...thanks for taking the time...

Thank you both very much!
But it's all about the questions. And Al, Mike + the PSN listeners had some really great ones. The whole series was a ton-o-fun.

I'm glad it's not over. PSN is my favorite podcast. Al and Mike are entertaining and make it a fun podcast to listen to. I love the Charles Dye segments. Charles should be a regular part of the show. It's the first podcast I look for when syncing my iPod. It's how I found out about this board.

Uh... I think they call that bait + switch, Al.
First, ya promise your listeners they'll only have to edure my i-love-the-sound-of-my-own-voice blathering for 30 days.
Then ya pull a fast switch + make it 45 days.... but now you say there's even more.
For truth in advertising sake, ya probably should've called the series:

As I told ya, if I don't know ANYTHING about a certain topic, I can usually only give you 5 mins of useless information.
But ask me something I'm under the mistaken impression I have a clue on, + I could easily speak with authority giving ya over 30 mins of crap!

But it's priceless, gold-covered, diamond-encrusted crap.

Santa was good to me this year...I got an iPod for Christmas... :D
And although I have not filled it with my entire CD collection (yet), I'm proud to say that it does hold dozens of PSN podcasts...including all the shows featuring a certain moderator who many refer to as "Chaz".
I mean, c'mon, who IN THEIR RIGHT MIND wouldn't want to spend their morning commute listening & learning fresh ideas/approaches towards understanding compression!? :icon_eek: ...Nah, but seriously, the compressor discussion show rocked!!
Charles, I have not heard your entire discographry, but I did download a couple of the Crease songs to my iTunes. Dude, "Live to Be in Love" and the version of "Too Late for Love" are both killer productions... Kudos on that!!
Peace,

I second everything Eric The Kid says. There is definitely no better way to spend the commute than listening the PSN podcast on my iPod, which I also got for Christmas (my wife got me the 80Gb model -- I love it). Those 45 days of Dye to me were almost the equivalent of attending a mini-seminar. Even though I am still getting the hang of my Liquid Mix module, I've started applying some of the emulations on the output bus and mixing through them and the results are night and day.
As soon as I get one of the media projects that I have been working some clients on to kick into gear (meaning some flowing $$$), the first item on the shopping list is Mix It Like A Record.

I could be mistaken, but I believe Charles may have posted some additional footage (from another MiLaR chapter) on his website. It's on the page for the DUY Contest (http://www.harddisklife.com/contest_DUY.html). Looks like there's a chance to win some FREE stuff, too!
