Im not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i figured were all using macs here with Logic so .............I just ordered some more RAM for my Mac Pro. I have been working with 2 gigs
I have two 1gig strips. I just ordered two 2gig strips.

I remember back when on my G4 someone was telling me to use my largest strips in the first slots, ie Place the 2 gig strips in then followed by the 1 gig strips.

Does that logic still apply?

Lemme know if I am making myself clear.

Thanks yo's

There is a very specific way new memory is to be added to Mac Pros, at least in the previous version, so I would go straight to the Support section of the apple site and download the manual or go to macsales.com, find the appropriate installation video and watch it. Not a good idea to simple go on the advice of anyone else randomly.

Got it dub. I actually installed the first memory upgrade wrong.
I filled all of the top card and put nothing on the bottom. Now I realize there is a and b slots, and the a slots need to be filled first according to the video.

Thanks for the tip man!
