Well, I guess all that bud light and miller lite from San Antonio had to go somewhere... Exactly what DO real Aussies drink then?

Not naming any names, but I guess the thing that beer snobs don't realize is that in Texas, we get about 2 weeks of winter (weather below 80 degrees fahrenheit), 5 minutes of spring (where it may or may not rain, except in Houston) and then it goes directly back to 110 degrees fahrenheit in the shade, which is why we drink a lot of Lagers. They are refreshing and we don't get hammered out of our skulls until someone breaks out the tequila shots, or blackie totes a bottle of glen or mac over, then all bets are off. Lone Star, while inexpensive, can be EXCELLENT... seems to taste best ice cold at the Livestock Show and Rodeo, punk rock bars and also at the ballpark. I'm originally from St. Louis, and Budweiser and Busch are, frankly, superb for baseball games/summer up there (and I think I went to approximately 4300 keg parties where a keg of busch was the guest of honor), but A-B pales in comparison in Houston/San Antonio. Breweries make different beers, this I have learned the hard way. Something wrong in that San Antonio water me thinks.

Shiner makes some very good brews, I hate to say it, but we've been drinking a lot of Miller... it's the champagne of beers! Extremely refreshing and we don't get all sloppy. However, I also really like Tsing Tao, and a few other Japanese beers. Beck's and many of the Canadian brews are excellent as well.

Anyway, my brother in law is the consummate beer snob, he brings his slightly chilled, over priced cough syrup over virtually every holiday, drinks 2 and then proceeds to pass out on my couch. In laws.

And what, no malt liquor fans? lol... When I lived in west oakland, close to the bart station, we used to get quarts of Colt or Schlitz and get hammered. Of course, I weighed about 42 pounds back then, 20 of which were stratocaster...

My advice? Sit down, have a cold one, pass the salsa, wanna do a shot?

From what I remember, export Fosters is different to what they have over here, which is already pretty horrid.

I haven't had a Fosters in years. Tastes like rusty cats piss. Not that i've ever drunk it. It's how I imagine rusty cats piss would taste.
