Sorry guys but for 8 months now I have been scouring the web and yes I've read every relevant thread at GS.
Ok The list of reasons NOT to get this box is pretty long. BUT the feature set is exactly what I need. I have tried to assemble a comparable set from components which is of course safer but I can't get within $1,500. of the Ensemble, partly because I run logic off my Mac Book Pro, and as much as I don't like a hot plugable bus that is not really hot plugable, If I don't go firewire It looks like I would have to consider a PCMCIA solution.
Do any of you cats have experience with this piece?
Can any of you cats think of a more efficient or flexible way to get approximately the same feature set at approximately the same level of quality?
I'm not looking for last thing I'll ever buy I just want to get back to work.
