Up in the grey field there a justice/weight symbol that says "add to xxxx reputation"

Maybe rep means reputation....

I dunno...

Or maybe R/E/P... you know... the forum where you have to wear a tie and out your real name.

I found this description:

It's a system for giving credit for good posts, or taking away credit for poor posts. the blue icon under your member info (ie, the square with the check mark) is used for this purpose.

Interesting idea, a system that distinguishes credible posters and reputations.

Of course, after this discussion, any rep points I may have had will now instantly burst into flame.

Or song.

Something by Ethel Merman I suspect...

You may wish to leave this area, it's about to become increasingly uncomfortable. Gotta light?

Certainly does mean Reputation.

It's a completely frivolous feature where you can show approval or disapproval of people's posts. A troll would get lots of neg rep, and hence show up with a giant (raging?) red bar of rep.

Yup. And rep power increases as you get more rep points.

On Netphoria, I have 3717 pos rep, and 40 rep power... so I can add or subtract 40 points from any person's rep there.

JUST TO CLARIFY:

Rep power = how much you can affect other people's rep. The lowest you can go is 0 - you can still leave rep comments at this point but they're gray instead of green or red, and don't affect the victim's rep score.

Rep = the green or red bar you see under the "Rep power" line.

Repping = like crack.

Also note that you can't rep-spam a person - "You must spread some reputation around before giving it to ______ again".

We'll be offering a spellchecker feature for the low subscription price of $1.98 per month.

There's a price to looking smart.

Another question of stupidly epic proportions: At PSW clicking on 'User cp' would show threads you posted on. Is this feature available here?

Up the top, click "Quick Links", then go to "My Profile". Then "Find all posts by TSTW".

Still searching for a better method, but I can't say it's anything I've used in the past.

Another option is you can subscribe to threads, and it's probably going to WORK now.

Cheers brendo,

It has occured to me that the post page has a varying degree of boldness depending on whether you have posted on a thread.

Bright red: Not viewed
dark red: viewed someone else has posted
light thin text: Last to post

Or, you can just copy/paste into Word (or what ever you use), which is my preference because it has all my customizations in its dictionary.

Or, you can just decide not to worry about it.

What!?

(looking around nervously)

No, no, no, no, no, no.

I was just pointing out, that if one wanted to spend, you know, entirely too much money on a word processing program, they could, you know....

Or they could subscribe, for an eminently reasonable $1.98. I mean, that's less than $2 a month!
