Alrighty then... :D
Ying, first off...don't worry about the "low mix levels". If I want it louder I can turn it up... :lol:
OK...the tune.
It's nice...very relaxing but it has some issues for me. I understand you didn't write it, so make of this what you like...
The SFX at the beginning are quite distracting...and relatively loud compared to the rest of the track. The biggest problem is I have no idea why they are even there to begin with. What is their purpose?
There are some clangers - at least to my ears - throughout the track from the psuedo-bass guitar...starting at the 1 minute mark...
<Pausing to watch Top Gear...back soon>
OK...I'm back.
The sounds are quite nice, and for the most part they sit well, but occasionally they reveal their "sample-ness" which tends to spoil the moment somewhat...
The snare drum in particular seems a little wooly sounding to me...but only a little. Perhaps a little more fizz may help.
The ending is a little strange...having the backing fade and the melody cut is not the way I would have chosen to end this. :D
Look...it's pleasant enough. It's utterly inoffensive. It's so middle of the road that there's a white line down the middle of it.
But...it's long. Very long.
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what the point of the track is.
I don't know if this is what you wanted to hear but...there you go... :Roll eyes:
Cheers,
Tim
