Joe was the oldest of the Funk Brothers and he outlived all the other keyboard players.

Now we're down to just seven: Jack Ashford, Jack Brokenshea, Eddie Willis, Joe Messina, Dennis Coffey, Urial Jones and Bob Babbitt.

The guitar players seem to be the survivors!

Yes I'm very sorry to hear that as well. Every time I learn anything about the Funk Brothers they just seem like such great people and what they ( and you too Bob ) have given to the world just can't be denied.
