I think teacher should use this bed for his rap, instead of what he's got.

Slick. Super slick. UBER slick. It's like yacht rock on crack!
mwAH mwah mwah...
Or like the heavy metal background music for japanese anime!
I hear the drummer fumbling, because that's what I usually do when I play drums. Also I hear some rushing, for instance the bass, because that also is what I generally get beaten about the head and shoulders for, and I've had to learn to recognize it out of self defense. The bass could slide later in time just a hair and it would become the backbone of the sound rather than another thing poking excitedly ahead of the beat. It's possible that it's even 'beat detectived' or whatever which just goes to show you that the grid is not your friend...
I'ma shut up now before I get too over my head :)

Sweet Tim...I love the cascading piano etc., lines...they feel great! I'm hip to what chris says about the bass, but hell, I think it's a great piece...more, and send me the lyrics:Wink: !

Thanks...but you'll have to write 'em yourself. I can't write lyrics for shit... :Roll eyes:

Fumbling drummer is gonna be hard to fix because the drums are loops, with various individual samples added for "beef", like a kick drum every couple of bars, and a mono snare + flam from Podgorny, plus the stereo snare + room from e-cue...
The bass rushes because it was played by me...and I'm typically a guitar player...and you just know how much guitar players like to be ahead of the beat... :Roll eyes:
Thanks for all your comments.
Cheers,
Tim

Well, after successfully ignoring this for so long, I thought i'd better post an update.
It's got a melody now.
It's had more thought given to the orchestration.
Anyhoo...have at it.
Cheers,
Tim
