Not sure if this has been posted, but...worth a repost.
Drummer and drumkit captured with a high speed camera.

Look specially at:

1.18 - Stick control
4.10 - Wow...no wonder so many people (including me) have a hard time capturing the audio of THAT

beyond what you may think of his drumming, Mangini comes across as an extremely nice dude, the kind of person it would be pleasant to spend time around.

When I taught at a music store in 98, he did a clinic. I'd never heard of him and was just blown away by what he could do, and how well he taught. But what really made me a fan was how cool he was to everybody and how easy he was to work with.

I think I need to rescind my earlier comments in the DT thread as it seems apparent he's a totally nice fellow. NTM he can play like a mutha...

I'm sure he's a nice guy. It certainly come out very sympathetic in the clips I have seen.

His jaw dropped almost as much as mine did when he saw how that snare head and cymbal behaved when hit and filmed with high speed camera.

Spooky...

I thought we already covered the 'definition of a shanker' thing recently,

(hitting the shank of the stick on the edge of the cymbal).

No surprise the drum room floor looks like a woodworking shop, already.
