There have already been, and will be more, undesirable repercussions from the "Citizens United" supreme court case that allowed unlimited anonymous corporate money to flow into political campaigns.

This is one.

From what I know, it is actually intended to be a real ad, though it's SO CLOSE to parody (as you say) that you can't even believe it.

But yes, someone who is registered as a PAC (Political Action Committee) produced this segment. Whether their registration as a PAC is part of the goof is another question.

Perhaps this will be one benefit...

That political advertising will go so far in the direction of the surreal, that it will completely lose its effectiveness as propaganda.

Perhaps...

Probably real.
I have no idea what it's about, but my guess is that one line in a bill she voted for was grossly misinterpreted to use as a campaign attack.

Like the lunatic right's "death panel" attack on health care.

Isn't that when the producer goes behind the band's back to get a new timbale track?

Worse than adding timbales and salsa rhythms to a country & western remix of Black Flag's "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" is when Ruppert Murdoch and the Saudi Prince who own Fox News win the right to lie in an American court. In February 2003 the Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with Fox management that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States. So anyone with news credentials can lie about you and say basically just about anything without fear of undesirable repercussions while if you or I would lie about somebody we could loose our asses in civil court!
