All of CBS's real estate was liquidated in a hostile takeover. It had become worth more than the market value of the company's stock.

I just finished perusing your link and Jim Reeves website. I recognized several of those albums he engineered.

I checked my record collection and still have original copies of "Tom Rush" and "Catfish" .

"Lost my Drivin' Wheel" on Tom Rush's album is a great song. Love the Dobro on that song.

Catfish wasn't a big seller but got a fair amount of airplay where I lived.
