Headsup!! HD24 & OS 10.4.9

I'm pretty sure there ain't a whole assload of folks here using the HD24, but for those that do... Here's a HUGE HEADS-UP!!

As of today, there is an issue with the FST software not working with Mac OS-X 10.4.9 with no fix yet!! The FST software cannot connect to the drive and the OS wants to initialize the drive... a REAL pisser!

You are good to go on all versions of OS-X through 10.4.8. So... if you wanna be able to read your drives, stay away from the 10.4.9 updater!!

You can still ftp, so yer' not completely screwed... just a screw job having to deal with 10Base-T!!

I got a reply from Alesis Tech Support... such as it is.

The support tech gave me a link to the HD 24tools Project Page (http://ringbreak.dnd.utwente.nl/~mrjb/hd24tools/download.html)

Go figure... at least they know that his stuff works!

Here's an update!

I just received an email from the HD24 Yahoo Group... it appears that a couple of folks did the latest updater on 10.4.9 and they can now read via FST.

I'll double check tonight and update with confirmation... unless someone wants to confirm ahead of time.
