Nice job, Louman.
I've given it a few spins and I'm enjoying listening to it.

Thanks.

It's pretty sloppy, but I just tried to have fun with it. I hope that came across.

- I've just realized I cannot post from work. Huh. -

Anyway, nice job LouMan.
You nailed the feel, music content, and lyric content (though I don't think Sun would've let "she looks pretty good from the back" go by; damn sure no radio would've played it).

And you were the first to post.

Sloppy? Yep; but you met the criteria with flying colors.

Right on & congratulations.

I don't have the voice for this challenge (hey, who does), but I tried to get the vibe right.

Enjoy.

McAllister, you did a nice job of keeping it in the style of the times without releying on a 1-4-5 format. I dig the background vocals too.

I tried like crazy to come up with something, but everything kept sounding like Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, or any other 1-4-5 Elvis song. I guess I'm just a little more contemporary?

Good work guys!

Tremendous respect to LouMan and McAllister! Great work, both of you.

Lou: I thought that your guitar work was just the thing for the song. Great vibe!

McA: I loved the bgv. definitely succeeded in catching the sense of the times. And for what it's worth, your voice works well here.

As Penn and Teller would put it: You guys got Elvis in ya.

Me on the other hand, I had an Elvis-ectomy when I was just a lad, So:

This here is an admission of failure. I'm not gonna pull this off.

I'm a bit disappointed in myself, but I guess shit happens. The fact is that if I'd tried to pull this thing together at the last minute, it would likely have sucked gopher toes. Combine that with the fact that I currently owe my Cape team three tracks, and I just felt that I needed to dedicate my time elsewhere...

However, I definitely hope to get back to the Songwriter's Challenge next month.

Keep it up, you guys!

Both are great. Up All Night sounds the most authentic to me, but they're both fine efforts; defintely taking care of business.

Man, it sounds like you actually hired the Jordanairs. Incredible bgv's- totally nailed the vibe.

I can totally hear Elvis singing this. I can't get over how accurately you captured the style. Pretty cool.
