I guess I'd suggest listening to 'Amateur' over the other tracks on my site, but please give me feedback on whatever you will. Also, please keep in mind I made most of this music several months ago or more at the age of 18 and in my cheap little home studio without the help of anyone else. I could use any feedback considering any of the elements of the composition, recording/production/mix, etc. Thanks a lot and here's a link:

here's an additional link to a band I play drums in:
" "/emergencyward
Anyway feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Welcome !
"Amateur free Jazz" : I kinda like the movie-vibe...but I hear MAJOR pitch issues on that horn.
"Seventeen" : the Doors fell into the 'verb pit. Too many different 'perspectives' at the same time. Reverb is used to create space, big or small. Here I've got one part of the band that's in a canyon and the drums are in the kitchen...and you lost me there.
'The brilliant loon' : you've got too many synths happening together and a pitchy horn over the top.
Sorry if I sound harsh.
But you have to remember that in the world of music...there is no 'forgive me 'cause I did this in my room'. You're immediately out there with the best. There is no intrinsic difference between your myspace page and any famous band's. And that can make comparisons hard.
But fear not, for before you reach fame you can have as many attempts as you want at getting better. That's one of the priviledges of 'not having made it yet'.

I gotta think at least some of the pitch issues are intentional. At least I hope so. Otherwise, someone needs to have their hearing checked (might be me).
