They are looking mighty fine!
Wish I could justify the damn thing.

of course .... I need to be able to do 32,652,278 EQ3 7 band versions. I could only do 16,326,139 on the one I have now which is a 2,66 quad intel macpro.

I am underwhelmed. It's the same machine as before, just with different processors. The default graphics card is a joke for a machine that costs > $2500.
I am betting, that there will be a new MacPro later this year, so I am waiting for that.

well, 4 macs here but none with intel in them yet. so if i make the move to intel processor macs, i'll go big. especially since i'm a native audio guy.
too bad it will happen much later for me. i have a biggish show coming up that i track live. not so much too many tracks as it is a two and a half hour show that i record at least four times and mix the best takes from the shows for their vanity cd. i'd love to have the new mac and really mess with the audio.

I want one...
I configured one withthe top video card, 4 750gb Drives and 16GB of RAM for somewhere near 11 grand.
that can not be justified.

Hmm.
I've planned to do the next upgrade next year earliest.
Until then I'll spend the little extra cash on nice, real audio toys that don't make my blood pressure go up and force me to buy a bunch of new things as soon as it's loaded in.
But it sure looks nice.
I guess my next upgrade will be the generation after this.
