I'm all over it.
Just saw over on PSW that someone is giving JDG the use of their mastering room since JDG has had to sell off his gear to pay for treatment. Good stuff. For all the nonsense and ugliness out there in the world, there are some truly terrific folks with hearts of gold.

Indeed - it always amazes me how different groups of folks in the engineering community pull together when someone needs help.
Thanks for helping John in any way you can.

Thanks, guys. The response has been great, but I'm sure they can still use all the help they can get: no insurance + cancer (of any type) = massive bills.

I plan on matching what I've already contributed with equal bucks or more each month until such time as they say they no longer need the money, which could be a long while.
We had a family here in our town with a 3 yr old who had some nasty braid tumors. These folks had insurance, and the Dad was able to keep working, but even so the financial drain was huge. So, we ran all kinds of fundraisers and such, but they'll probably never be able to pay all the bills. Thankfully, and against all odds, the little tyke is still with us and doing well.

This is why I love this community. This is the best thing we do.

Aw, fuck. You guys and your spelling. I am NOT going to make a joke about getting a haircut.

AHHHH! Just shoot me now! I wouldn't mind an edit function right about now. For the record, I DO know how to spell brain, and I also habitually use a spellchecker. What I didn't do was proof-read the message myself. The spell-checker can't tell if I meant to say "brain" or "braid". Oh well, my heart's in the right place, and that's all that matters, right? RIGHT?? :Uh oh:

Yeah, right. hehe
I think if some people talked the way they typed there wouldn't be enough straightjackets in the world for all the droolies.

John has mastered two of my records so far and is an absolutely amazing person, it's great to see this kind of response all over the web. Chemo's $50k a month, so he can use every penny.
