Hi guys,

Probably not your thing but I have a couple of tracks up on my myspace which I would very much like your critique on. It's Hip Hop so if you hate it you know in advance!

I'm pretty new to this and I know my mixes need to come a long way before they are of a pro level so all advice (and possible 'dissin') welcome!

The tracks I want feedback on are 'Vibes' and 'The Otherhood'. I'm still looking for artists on the other two.

Many thanks....

Matt

Ps. If you to hear better quality than the shitty myspace player let me know and I will host in the morning.....

Hi Matt,
usually it's one track per thread, so you're best off to pick one for us to pick on...

I'll go for 'The Otherhood' then.

I dig! Maybe turn up the vocals a bit! Cool spread on the mix - feels fresh! He sound honkey!

i'm not really a hip hop fan, but vibez is really cool.

Can someone interpret?

Joel

I was thinking this too. Do you mean tone or ethnicity?

Thanks for peeping guys. I know what you mean about Vibez, it does sound cluttered but I'm scared I'll end up cutting too much EQ and leave it sounding thin.

I'll give the vox on The Otherhood a little push too.

Cheers.

ha ha sorry - I just learned this word! Honkey = white! Maybe I miss spelled it? The black rappers call white rappers for honkey. Right?
