No, not the bodies slime, the band.

I hadn't listened for a while, but today I chucked on their first (and pretty much only) record, "Get Some".

Fuck.

Now THAT, ladies and germs, was a tight band. Flawless performances, no filler yet a solid length to the album, variety of songs....and Lynn Strait, the GREATEST rock singer I've ever heard. Bar none. R.I.P.

Don't have much to say really, I just hate knowing so many people have never heard that band and have never heard Lynn sing. Cut down way too early.

So get out and buy that record people.

R.I.P to the greatest rock singer of all time, and R.I.P to a band that should've been the biggest band in rock ever if talent was the only test.

GO LISTEN TO SNOT!!!!

(If you're only gonna check out one song, make it "Absent", the version on "Strait Up" the tribute album. If that don't give you chills, there's no hope for you)

I ran sound for snot once.

a decade ago.

Still to this day the most shocking show I've done.

Show start, lights go down, in through the back door
come two loin cloth wearing dudes with hockey masks
with chainsaws a blazing (weed whackers with theatrical blades and fake blood)

They also have a dwarf crackhead in underwear on stage,
sort of a methed out go-go dancer I guess,
that the dude keeps smacking around.

Then in between songs he asks:

Has anybody ever seen a dwarfs cock?

and reached over into the dwarfs underwear
and pulled out the dwarfs cock and shook it at the audience.

Stunned crowd. ( and this was a hardcore crowd)

When my wife asked the next day how the show was.

I said, well the band Rorshak Test who's big tune at the time went something like satan satan... were the alter boys of the evening.

Then I told her the dwarf cock story.

No, not the bodies slime, the band.

I'm kinda more appreciative of the "body's slime" version...because I think I feel a Derek and Clive moment coming on.

:D

Cheers,
Tim
