Following the footsteps of the EMI/iTunes deal, now Amazon will start offering DRM-free tracks in MP3 format as well (Joining eMusic which was the first store that offered such service).
Personally I think this is great, a lot of people have balked away from buying from iTunes/Amazon/Rhapsody due to all the uncertainty and negative experience you get with DRM'd tracks (Things like backups or changing your music player in some cases, not to mention going for non-ubiquitous formats such as WMA)
I guess you only need to push hard enough :Wink:
