Howzit. I thought i'd finally post a mix here and get everyone's opinion.
Its a cover version of Queen's - Your My Best Friend. Not sure if I'm s'posed to post covers here but feel free to remove it if i'm not.
This is my first real delve into a "proper" DAW, namely, Cubase SX.
Its got no vocals, (I didnt have a microphone)
Electric and acoustic piano, drums and bass were taken from a midi file thats found it's way around various free midi sites. [All credits go to whoever made the original file and again, feel free to remove it and flame the shit outta me if its not s'posed to be here  ]
I have to manually program each note into the midi editor at the moment but I'm getting a midi keyboard as soon as the funds roll in. I figured it was the next easiest way in the meantime. I did a bit of editing to make the tracks sound a bit more realistic.
Guitar was Epi Les Paul running into the line-in of my soundcard. (Ive since remembered i had an old zoom 505 lying around and i that use the to lower the impedance,) Amps, pedals etc. were amplitube.
All other sounds were a collection of VST instruments triggered by midi.
It was mixed on my hi-fi so I'd love to know what is like on real monitors
Let me know what you think.
