I'm sure I'm just doing something incredibly stupid, but when I download the snippets, my computer says it's an unknown file type. Could someone explain what the idiot inside me is doing wrong? Ha, I signed up for this question.:Roll eyes:

Well when I download the snippets, I'm told that I'm downloading a PDF. But when the download completes, it's saved as an mp3.
Go figure.

Ah, for some reason I had to actually rename the file extension to mp3. I'm up and running, Happy Thanksgiving! And thanks a lot.

Which files? All of the snippets?
Let me know.

Never mind. I see what's happening. We will fix this ASAP.
I apologize for our disorganization, but there has been some organizing to do, and we are obviously not quite done yet.

I'm actually having problems listening to anything through the radio. When I highlight my selection and hit play it just flashes and nothing. The WTF button works. Downloads are ok. I just can't listen through the radio. The status bar on that window says "waiting for womb.mixerman.net." I've given it 30 minutes.

Have you installed the latest version of flash?
I can get the radio through my shitty-ass tin can and string connection at home, so I've got to think that this is a software issue.
(XP SP2, IE6, updated flash two weeks ago)

Funny you should say that, I just discovered I have problems downloading anything, though listening is fine.

Are people still having issues?
I'll tell you what, I'm not having these issues, so we need to figure out where the problem is.
Do me a favor, if you're having problems downloading or playing, please give me the following information.
OS
Browser
The problem
Is this happening on more than one file?
If no, then which file is this happening on.
Is this happening on more than one Radio? i.e. Is it happening on the Mixerman Radio?
And then any other information that might help us in trouble shooting these issues.
Your help with this would be most appreciated folks. We want to get this thing running smoothly.
Thanks,
Mixerman

Ok....
Slipperman's radio streams everything ok EXCEPT the snippets...not any of em. It looks like it WOULD let me download them though. But i didn't have time for a 50mb for now. But it was DLing ok. so i would assume it would open once it DL'd.
also from the main forum pages, only the MM radio, SM radio, and the MM diary links work. the other 3 don't. If i open the MM or SM radio, then click links, then they'll open.... dunno what thats all about....
i'm on XP using IE 7

When i try to download I just get a page that says Action Cancelled unable to locate Web page. I get this on every radio on every selection. I'm on dailup and it's pretty slow, don't know if this could be the problem, on the downloads, stuff will stream but it's really intermittent, because of my speed issues. I get nothing on any radio except mixerman and slipperman, but i don't know if there is anything uploaded to them. I use XP PRO with all the latest up dates and IE. Have system mechanic and Kaspersky anti virus enabled. take care Logan

Nope.... not dial up.
Today all the radios work when you click on them from this page. But the snippets still don't play. they download, but they don't stream..... all the other clips on all the other radios play (stream).... just not the clips....

The clips go with the monologues. Sometimes a clip doesn't come in for 20 minutes. They are designed for download into a DAW, so that you can hear Slippy talk, and then hear the clips at the proper time.

I get the action cancelled screen too. If you hit the "go" button next to the url it will then allow you to download. (XP sp2, IE)

Yep I figured it out as well, although I hit refresh and then it allows me to download. So the snippets need to super imposed over the EQ stuff then i hear the loops and stuff. I figured that was probably the case, but i haven't had time to stick them in the Daw yet. when i first listenedto the EQ rap I downloaded I could hear was the dulcet tones if the slipper person and no loops, and ifigured it was a slip cosmic joke or he was ready for the padded room. Could be either really. Take care Logan

I can stream fine, but when I click on "download", it just puts up another browser window for a second, then closes it.

For some reason I can't scroll the page on the Mixerman Diaries. Even when I click on different weeks. No scroll bar. Wheel on the mouse doesn't do anything either.
I'm using the standard XP on cable, internet explorer. Anybody else have this problem?
No probs with the radio stuff.

Nope still no scrolling. Maybe a scrollbar=yes thing missing in the html?

Strange, that worked for me.
In IExplorer you can just highlight the text from the top down and then paste it on a new text file.
In Firefox I found that the keyboard arrows worked.
