I love the places this song goes...it's like a trip cross-country, through all the beautiful spots...the chorus soars, the helicopter ride 'cross Grand Canyon, the multi-layered guitars are like a velvet forest , mixin' with the keys for a waterfall that is to die for, and all tied-up with percussion from the clouds!
Great song!!

Nice 'individuality' on all the guitar parts. Tight performance on them drums and bass. Might coulda gone a lil wider / bigger with 'em, but tain't bad at all.
This tune's got all the right pieces (hA! nice stick drop at the end... I love hearin' that crap!) and almost reminds me of something like a Weezer or something. Can't put my finger on it, but I'll be back 'round to this one. Plenty more to investigate.

Fun indie rock tune! It's got that cruising along feel, and it all fits. I can never play this stuff because I'm not laid back enough. This is the definitive loud, rocking, but totally laid back feel, right down to the perfect vocals. Reminding me of Pavement a bit, too. Just feels good, un-stressy :)

It has to be said, that Mike Buzz, whatever you might think of him, can bang out a radio-ready tune.

I like the "false start" with the perc. Big drama in the drum part. I'm a sucker for that. Lead was really nice. Everyone played very well together.
"You look so good..." Great line!
Putting down the sticks at the end...brilliant!

I really dig the snare in this tune, that room sounds big and raw to me.... I love that. I like the crunch of the guitars, the whole tune reminds me a bit of Treble Charger, it has that indy Rock feel. I really like.
Good work guys!

Lots of stuff competing for the same sonic real estate, some things are masking others. I also hear the indy thing, and that I likey.

I like this one a lot - for some reason this reminds me of an early 90's Brit pop band called Ride. And that's a good thing, since I used to love their stuff as a teenager. And I still do. So, definitely my favourite this year. :)

Skinny tie rock is alive and well.
This kicks expansive amounts of ass.
Light as a feather on a 100 pound anvil and the lyrics connect like a motherfucker.
"I got a bridge to burn back there".

It wouldn't be CAPE if there weren't at least one song in a genre that wasn't my cup of tea...
.. and that didn't kick my ass anyway.
Heavily getting behind those drums, Lyons. Moony, Martin Chambers, Dave Grohl-- really propels the song and kicks it into orbit. Wish I could have heard more of Az's keys but then I would say that-- it's his song anyway and I understand.
Then there's Finch's vocals. Didn't know what to expect there-- by reputation I thought Cookie Monster, don't ask me why-- but you brought 'em off with aplomb. You sold me on it, man. Good work.
Hell, everybody done good.

I have a reputation? hehehe. *looks at greenies* OHHH YEAH! Thanks for the kind words I was hoping to show another side this time round....wasn't shootin for this one but hehe but it's what happened and I'm glad it did. All these kind words blow me away. As my team members could vouche for.....I was somewhat of a nervous wreck after I submitted these tracks.
Couldn't have hoped for a better drummer. I'm honored to work with all these cats.
We had a version with more keys....It was freaking awesome. Jo slammed us with a number of different mixes from a bunch of completely different angles. I think all of us were torn between atleast two of em.

I didn't like this song when I first heard it. It's starting to grow on me.
I heard my son humming the melody to this tune today. He told me it's one of his favorite CAPE V songs.
