Seriously, I do believe this is the strongest CaPE overall yet. Every song, every vocal, and every mix are killer, and I for one am very impressed with everyones work. I haven't participated since CaPE III because my hand problems almost forced me out of it that year, and I don't want to commit to something that I may or may not be able to do, so the best I can do these days is live vicariously through the final tracks. This year, I'm live (vicariously) quite well. Thanks to everyone who participated for great work.

This is the first CaPE I've had to miss. It's also the strongest overall batch of songs and performances yet.
Coincidence?
I sure hope so.
I haven't had a chance to hear them all yet; I'm squeezing them in as I find the odd spare moment. Hope to check 'em all out soon.
What an amazing pool of talent.

I know we all know the answer to this, but I still gotta' ask . . .
Why can't regular radio be like CAPE Radio?
Doh.

Hell G. just sign on as a point man...it don't takes hands to get yer producer's hat on...the one thing Cape could use, is directors.

Mr. Wailer, it would only have been that much better if you'd been able to grace one of the teams. Hopefully you'll be back for the go round.

Man, I hope so.
Life should be closer to normal by August. Home improvement death march culminating in my daughter's wedding on 7/7, coupled with the day job and plenty gigging, kept me on the sidelines this time. Hell, I haven't even been able to listen to all the tunes yet.
The hardest part was turning down a late offer to lay some horns on a tune by a team that had a lot of my favorite Wombats.
They sounded just fine without my "honk and squeek", but I would have loved to contribute something to the strongest CaPE so far.

I listened to the CaPE V tracks last night... long after I should have been in bed (sorry, honey!). When I finally DID go to bed, I felt like I'd just gotten home from a globe-circling expedition. It took awhile to readjust to my own home, my own bed, my own thoughts.
I got up this morning and listened again. I'd click on the CaPE track on the radio, and then open the corresponding thread to read while listening.
I don't think I'm capable of describing all the emotions I felt during the different songs. Every single song is fantastic. Every style, every tempo, every tone is GREAT. I can't begin to single out all the individuals and parts that made me go, "Hey, THAT was neat!... and THAT's a great line...and what a KILLER guitar tone!.....".
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around all the sheer talent that nonchalantly strolls through the Womb. Honestly, this is the best stuff I've heard in a long, long time... since the last CaPE, in fact!
Unbelievable job, everybody, and thanks for letting mere mortals get a glimpse of Valhalla.

You can lay some shit to Team Omen's! Just get in touch, and I'll set it up...hell, anybody can use horns...it's like Jello...there is always room!

It usually takes me a few days to go from "what the heck is this stuff?" to "stuck in my head, again". I'm at the point now where I'm really starting to love these tunes.
CaPE is better every year!

There's really not a single weak team this time around...great work by everyone, truly.
There have been at least seven tunes that I've been getting stuck in my head numerous times each day since I first heard them all last Thursday. And even the ones that I initially didn't care for too much have started growing on me. Very impressive -- congrats all of you!
