Comte de St Germain

I just finished up an EP for a brand new band, in fact, one of their tunes is in the critique forum here.
Anyhoo, they are heading up the east coast and will be busting their balls in a new and unfriendly world.
If you can, check 'em out:

If they sucked live I wouldn't even mention it.

Funny, I posted my original thoughts on this earlier but they were wisely removed.
Dear Nobby,
Where does one get off calling me a "spamalot?"
I belive my contributions to this website have been very positive and plentiful.
I'm merely trying to let some of the folks on here that are friends of mine that a band, whom I feel is worth seeing, may be coming to their neck of the woods.
This I believe falls under the "connections" portion of the title of this forum.

I thoght I was being funny (Spamalot is a hit comedy) but apparently I was not. Sorry about that, chief.

The thing is, that if word gets out on the 'net' that spamming is done here, collaborations will get slammed off the page. The connections are between collaborators.
OTOH, if you put your link to the band in your signature, it will appear in every post you make in every forum you go to. It was a serious suggestion.
I apologize for any misunderstanding.

It's cool, I understand the BB thing; just thought it prudent to put it here since one of their tunes is in the crit section.
EShaun can kill this whole thread if he'd like.
BTW I tried to edit my post earlier and it seems i can't find the portal into that world here.
I remember it working last week...

I'm sorry Comte. I mistakenly deleted your post. I was gonna give you an 'infraction' for going for the jugular on a respected forum member. All in good fun. But somehow the software made it disappear in the ether. That was not my goal and I apologize for that, besides I do not run this place. However, don't you agree it's better like that, actually ?
All I'm saying is you can disagree all you want but keep the vibe courteous. What you posted was definitely not courteous.

It was made in jest hence this: they were wisely removed
Unfortunately, the post went live before the jesty part did.
Which brings me back to: How does one edit posts here?

It wasn't you and it wasn't a glitch in the software.
Anyway, all that's gone from this thread is two words
:very happy:
Compte, check your PM box.

I just thought of something. Compte, why not PM pounce and ask him to put a sticky up at the Live Music Experience (http://womb.mixerman.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=11)?
He did it for Azraphael and I'm sure he would do it for you.

You can make edits within 20 minutes of posting. Then your post stands. You need only summon a "Martini Drinker" (which is an admin) to assist you with removing unwanted text from posts. This prevents people from decimating threads which has been prone to happen in the past on past forums dying slow painful deaths.
As far as posting links to songs on the Womb goes, that's not spam, and we actually intend to encourage this. I don't really care what the intention behind the link is, so long as it's music that we can enjoy. Especially from a respected contributor such as yourself.
Yes, you have been re-respected.
Of course, if we can't enjoy the music, then you're in trouble.
As far as whether this is going to be the forum for this particular post, well, we're still working that out. That's kind of up to E. Shaun. It's been three days since the Collaborations forum was split from the Critique forum to become the Collaborations and Connections forum. So, the exact tenor of this forum is going to be up to E. Shaun. And with that I'll let him weigh in.
Ladies and Gentlemen!
I present to you . . .
E. Shaun!

Cool.
I dig the 20 minute thing.
Very cool.
Anyhoo, I've got to go pick up some mercury for the weekend, TTYS.
Thanks for the tip on Pounce's joint...

Wow, my very own introduction!
Thanks MM, I'm touched.
Actually, it was kind of funny to return home from work to see all this hubub in the forum, but not seeing the original post which CAUSED the hubub.
For what it's worth, I saw the thread this morning, and had no problem with it. I DID start to wonder if it was more appropriate for the song critique forum, but figure I'd move it later in the day (as in, now) or talk to Dwoz if I thought it was necessary.
My forum in the other place was a bit more conducive to threads like these, but I see no harm in letting something like this stand here, as it is indeed a connection, and it's not just from some fly-by-night, look-at-me-I'm-on-the-internet! kind of noob.
So that's that!
