Hmmm...
If I could really get anything I wished for, I would probably wish for someone to be able to globally market and sell a vehicle propelled by a seawater-based internal-combustion steam engine, without being shot on sight, or bought out, thus nullifying any need to funnel money and/or troops & weapons to the psychopaths running the middle east and simultaneously toppling our cancer inducing oil companies.
That's just me.
But since that scenario is unlikely to say the least, can I have a MOTU 24I/O with the PCI card? We need that only slightly more than we need an SSL stereo compressor...

Mmmmm, good Q., Gabby, to which the answer for lies in logistics-defying-technology.
Teleport me to la famiglia and to the doorsteps of some ole pals that I'd sure like to spend some much needed Q.T. with again.
While in that neck of the Earth's woods, I'd likely drop by a few choice pals' places that I've cyber-met via this circle for SURE.
[remember]Ho-ho-ho, Green Christmas,[/that ole Green Giant jingle?]

Time to relax and enjoy a couple Montecristos, some crispy beers and wonderful scotch with friends.
Almost reasonable to expect, too!! :) :) :)

I'm just looking forward to the look on my daughter's face when she sees the dollhouse I'm building for her.
Anything else I get, I'll need like a hole in the head.

I'm being completely selfish when I say:
Time. More time to putter in the music room, more time to write, more time to record.
And: Sleep. So when I get more time, I'll be able to function. I think my kids are nocturnal.
Oh, and a 1968 Gibson SG in cherry red, so I can put somebody's eye out.

I recently traded one of my teles for a really sweet Jazz Bass so if Santa could bring me an SVT to go with it that would be sweet.
Would also asking for a B15 for the studio as well be too much?
And I just don't get you boat people. Haven't you heard about that swell invention, the airplane? I used to shoot rapids in rickity wooden river boat when I was a kid, but I just don't do water anymore since I discovered that I am mortal and can't swim for shit.

The Captains hat isn't for sailing, Stupid.....
It's for wearing when you're in the studio, so the muso's know who's boss.
I thought EVERYONE wore a Captain's hat while they're working on records...
I wan't free parking wherever I go, and a few "get your car out of the impound lot free" cards...

All I want is for all of the people who have families and loved ones to spend Christmas with to either:
A): Stop asking me what I'm doing for Christmas - or
B): Stop saying shit like "surely there's SOMEbody.. some relatives or friends that you have that you could shoehorn your way into their Christmas, uninvited, and pretend that you're part of their family!" Or some other silly shit like "Awwwww" when I say "nothing."
And you know why?
Because I never get that "So.. I'm interested in your life as a friend and want to see what your plans are" vibe. They're fishing. And they're looking, precisely, for what my answer is... I.E: "Your Christmas is going to be better than mine". The wry smile that they display upon hearing that is the very essence of Schadenfreude.
Just go eat your fucking turkey and listen to grandma bitch about "the old Christmases" and go to mass and take uncle Gene's keys away when he gets too hammered on spiked eggnog and leave those of us with a good book and delivered Chinese to celebrate it in our own way.
Please.

I feel for you Bunner.
But not in that patronizing "oh, he must be such a sad fellow" way.
I have spent my share of Christmases alone and I too share the sentiment that sometimes it's not such a bad thing.
I got to watch a movie I had been meaning to see for ages, got to eat a meal that I actually had time to cook as opposed to my usual "nuke de jour" and been free of family politics for a day.
Don't get me wrong.
Family is great.
Friends are often better.
But sometimes a little time to yourself is the best gift you can recieve.
That being said...
if Gabby is cooking I am so fucking there.

Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhh!
Gabby's ALWAYS cooking.
I hear she's gonna make food too...
(ba-dum bum tsssssssss - Hey, I got a miilion of 'em!)
We still have mixerman's scotch, (aging gracefully I might add) there will be christmas cheer, even if I have to force it on people one liver at a time.
You're always welcome in the IT department/recording studio/toy store/ebay warehouse/television theater/restaurant kitchen I like to call home! If anyone in the Austin area would like to drop by for drinks on xmas eve, give us a buzz. We'll give you a buzz!
(ba-dum bum tsssssssss - Hey, I now have 999,999 of 'em!)
This is only a test....
...of the broadcast system.
Had this been an actual emergency, by the time you heard the test tone, it will have been too late to do anything about it.
BTW, we had a new record low here this morning. Laugh if you will (I grew up in St. Louis, gg grew up in detroit, we have a valid point of reference) but 26 degrees is FUCKING COLD, even for Tejas.
It's ok, in another 15 minutes it will be back up to 105 in the shade.
Cheers!

Getting the power back on in my house would be nice...4 days without now and it's below freezing here in the Great White North
And the neighbor who's tree took out my hydro is in Mexico basking in all it's warmth so a group "fuck you" would be really nice.

Oh, that sounds goooooood. I have a wife and three kids that I love to death, but that still sounds goooooood. Oh for the chance to just chill for a while. I'd have to have the chinese flow in though, 'cause I live in a culinary wasteland.

Dear Santa.
I want my own fucking washer and dryer in the apartment.
Thats it.
No iPods, nibnobs, keytars, socks, plugins or fancy cool stuff.
Just my own washer and dryer. Right here.
I'm tired of taking the elevator down 5 floors in my robe at fucking 7 AM with 60 pounds of laundry thats not going to be be dry in time anyway. Not to mention that they're almost always in the need of repair. Fucking landlord.
I really mean it Santa. I need one. Badly.
And while your at it, give the landlord a new brain. He needs it more than I need a washer.
