I wasn't sure if you guys knew about this site.
http://www.digitalmusician.net

Once you sign up you can download their plugins so you can collaborate over the internet right within your DAW (VST or RTAS)

The only thing that would make the site better is if there were more people actively using it.

No Deadline
No Budget
No Interest

Lot's of advertising there though... I guess someone's getting paid.

I didn't notice any ads (because of adblock)
There are some paid jobs there if you go a bit further than the front page.

i never got to trying the plugins, i had them sitting on my desktop for about a week.

i have my account set to show nothing and i don't want to be part of any projects - and they still keep bugging me.

Brendo, I think you're using Safari or something?
I can't believe you can't 'block sender' Piece of cake with IE6.

Yup there are some actual paying gig's over there AND some good people too. I don't use their software however.. it's a lil different way of collaborating than I've been used to. Some folks say they have had no trouble with it.. but I had some issues..

Gmail. Safari doesn't do email, nor does IE6. What?

I met JWoo and another project mate there....
We're not collabing ON DM though.
Too expensive for the full meal deal, for what can be
done w/ Yousendit, Skype for free.

Check the forum...the most active one's the site issues.
Now, that place is a'hoppin'.
It seems like a great idea that needs a lot of tweaks.

That'd be cool someday, sitting in your darkened studio,
jamming in realtime w/ bandmates on giant plasma screens...
There's actually such a thing, but it's like $300 per month, not cross platform yet.
Great, if you're like, Sheryl Crow.

These sites are going to come and go like ResRocket,
(whatever you do, don't pay in advance for a "discount":Roll eyes: )
Tonos, I'm sure there's more.

Pees,

Kirk

jwoo, you're busy man! I see you everywhere I go, hehe.

Indaba seems to have the best interface, but it seems like more going on in digitalmusician. I like them both.

Cheers,
Brack

Whomever comes up with the ability to over come the nets latency issue so folks CAN actually play "real-time" will be the next Bill Gates. Doubt if it will ever happen.

Can you imagine playing in/selling pay per view concerts with online bands... MONEY in the bank!

I try... lol:icon_eek:
