View Full Version : Removing the Transport Bar

For those of you who have been dissatisfied with the fixed Transport Bar in Logic 8, here is the workaround as discovered by a user on the Sonikmatter forum.

Search "open trash" in key commands. Assign a key command (I used ctrl E, the poster used shift ctrl +). Use this new key command to open up a floating and transport-free arrange window. Don't ask me how, or why opening trash opens up a large arrange screen. It just does. (I guess someone doesn't think much of your music!) You can bring up other floating screens with the appropriate keycommands. For instance "X" brings up a floating mixer and hides it again.

This will probably be a good function for those of you preferring to use two screens (among others of you).

Enjoy,

Mixerman

I'm guessing this one is Logic 8 specific, causing it to work similarly to Logic 7?

I'm guessing this one is Logic 8 specific, causing it to work similarly to Logic 7? I edited my initial post to say Logic 8. Thanks for alerting me to my
vagueness.

Post this on the Logic Discussion Forum. You can be sure that the ATBLT (Anti Transport Bar League of Trolls) will erect a shrine in your honour.

(I bowed out of the Transport Bar discussions there long ago because Apple did me a favour by putting it there)
