Once again, like reoccurring herpes, the holiday season is upon us, and there's no Valtrex for this baby. I always like to overbuy a couple gifts for that one guy you really weren't expecting to gift commerce with. Lava lamps are played out, and there's too many people in AA these days to randomly pass out bottles of hootch, so I figure I'd stock up on a couple copies of the MM Diaries. I know, I know, I'm already a bit behind. When I click in "buy the book", it says the store is closed. Sold out like Metallica? When I search amazon, I get an idiot's guide to starting a band, something about "killer dust" which I hope isn't about yay-yo, and "Technology of Biscuits, Crackers, and Cookies, Third Edition", obviously because the 1st and 2nd editions did so well.

Anyway, where can I track some of these mofros down? I'd much rather pass finds directly to the mixerman.net but if that's not an option, where's plan b?

I think a thread should be started about how we ended knowing about the Mixerman diaries.

i.e. Did we happen across them online?
Through Mixermans advertisements?

PSW? Were you already a member of the forum and he began the posts?
Playboy?
Musicproducer.com?
Word of mouth?

All sarcastic comments welcome....

Hey everyone.

Well, I'm in a bit of a quandary where the book is concerned. Basically, I have to either print another run or find someone interested in publishing. It has been a very time consuming and expensive proposition to self-publish the book. I want to write another book, but between, the music, the book, and now the website, something has to go.

Of the three, it's selling books that I'm going to have to let go of. Besides, it's time for me to write my next book.

This means I need to find a publisher. Which is also going to be time consuming. But it has to be done. I'm working on this now. Hopefully, the book will be in stores at some point this year.

Thanks everyone. Sorry it's not available for presents this year.

Enjoy,

Mixerman

Hey guys, sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm in a bit of a situation here. I recently stumbled upon mixerman's daily adventures. I laughed, I cried, I spit water on my keyboard, I got funny looks at work, etc. However, I got through Week 6 only to find that the rest of the story is not available anywhere! I've searched the google on the internet machine as well as this forum but it seems I'm out of luck. I understand the difficulties in self publishing a run of books; I would gladly pay for an electronic copy. This is probably the funniest thing I've ever read and I would really like to finish it. Is there any way for me to be able to read the rest of the story? I'm dying here! Thanks.

Same here.

I tried to buy it (unsuccessfully) while it was available (I even managed to do a lengthy talk with the company doing the credit card processing - without any results).

Mixerman, why not Cafe Press or Lulu? I assume you've already got a digital version you can upload.

Not to be an a$$, but if you have already decided that the diaries have to be put aside to allow energies to be placed elsewhere, isn't it best to put them in the public libarary rather than the dank cellar for storage. Post the rest of it, man! Those lucky enough to have a bound copy of the story won't be shortchanged (there is no comparison between an e-book and real pages... digital vs. analogue again, eh! And you know what's better, right, MM?), and those, like myself, who have been left wondering what became of Cotton, can finally find validation in their lives. One small move, and balance can be restored. I see a Santa hat on the avatar... What would Kris Kringle do?

I'm feeling charitable today, so I'll tell you how the book ends.

Everybody in the band makes millions of dollars and now live in Malibu and Mixerman is killed in a bizarre bicycle/train mishap that left him permanently disfigured.

He now walks the earth as the living dead, a brain eating zombie who mumbles incessantly about eating your mix.

I knew it! Thanks, now I can sleep. Someone told me he died in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day, but that's just ridiculous. It all makes sense now.

Seriously though, I'd love a copy of the book, but I'm willing to pay for a PDF. Bueller? . . . . . Bueller?

IIRC correctly, Mixerman lost a bet and was trampled to death in the running of the bulls. Cotton was so moved by the loss of his closest friend that he has since devoted his life to public service and is now a very influential advisor to Gov. Arnold.

And if you read the ending backwords, it says "Paul is dead. Paul is dead."

And he always leaves you holding the bar tab.
