ahh yes, the old marsh. once filled with the vibe of this place, and then promptly fucked up the ass with a rusty knife. fucking ghost town now. i went back recently for the first read since this place opened, and realised nothing has happened there since except jimi got allowed in.
but yeah, there was some amazing shit going down there in the good times for sure. cape over the years has produced some amazing shit, and considering the volume of people and music the hissy fits have been quiet few and far between

Yep, started out as the recpit, then was split into The Marsh and the R.E.P.
The artistic types gravitated towards the Marsh (Mixerman's place), and the techies went to R.E.P.
Then, the Marsh got polluted, so Mixie started this place (with, I believe, Crunch and Gabby Garcia doing the heavy lifting) and we all followed...
Cheers, Tim

Glad to be done with that bunch of sociopathic and certifiable crank-jobs who could not make a record between them if their small, under-utilised penis units were at stake.
P.S. Go Habs Go!!!

Here is the straight music version of 'Gaining on Me'. We were going to put this on the radio rotation thing, but just never did. I prefer this version, although a song without Goes' cowbell always seem to be oddly missing something.

And you still wound up passed out on the floor of the transporter room after Spock's nerve pinch.
Nothing personal, y'understand, just the day-to-day business of captaining a spaceship that looks like two dildos attached to another dildo.

Gotta say that no matter where it happened, that tune was and still is the bar for Cape songs.
Nothing has come close since then, but now we have another chance to try to top it. Best of luck with that.
Something ugly took root and grew at that old place and I'm glad it's history. There was a lot of discussion about how that happened and even though there was some disagreement on that, I really doubt it'll ever happen here.
I'll toast all the good things that came out of that place, and all the great things happening here.
Peace, love, and all that happy horseshit.

If it did happen here, it would be an EXPENSIVE mistake, would you agree?

While I agree that Galactic was one of the high-water-marks, I would be remiss if I didn't note that aardy's mix of CAPE I, team canuck was also in that pantheon.
and, "Alone" by team progression.
There's a disturbing trend here...that otek's projects seem to be beating the crap out of the rest of us. I suggest we ban him, on general principles of freedom, democracy, and to rid the world of WMD.

I dunno how many Prog rock fans we have, but
Team Progression on CAPE IV blew me away!
I was so impressed w/ Nick/Groovr's vocs, I offered
him the position in what is now our latest project,
"Future Kitchens of America" :Coolio:
Great stuff, deserving of louder kudos imo.

That reminded me of the first UK album (sort of).
The vocalist definitely has a John Wetton influence.
Very nice!

Danger Money album, DYT?
Caesar's Palace Blues in the harmonies...
Kirk

Kirk, the lion's share of the harmonies were actually devised by either Spock, Otek, or Trazan. Spock was the point man and if I am not mistaken (Otek? Spock?) came up with the Difford/Tilbrookish responses to my calls in the verses. Otek and Trazan are gifted arrangers both; I especially draw your attention to Trazan's Beach Boys evocation on the final chorus, just before the drums come back in.
Whether Danger Money or Caesar's Palace Blues came into it is something you'd have to ask them, but it wouldn't surprise me to see any of them displaying such good taste. (And it's good almost beyond words to hear my song mentioned in the same breath.) My original model (in my own estimation) was more Jeff-Beck-meets-Fish, which aspect I think MudCat underscored brilliantly.
