Jord I thought you might could help me with this.
Here is what I got... A good friend of mine wants to film his Niece singing a song for some kids contest thing or something. Anyway, i need to put the deal on a DVD for him afterwards.
Can I record video and audio into Logic Pro at the same time?
Or do I have to import the video into the session after it is recorded?
Thanks man!

If you're recording video along with audio, you would probably be using either Final Cut Pro or iMovie to grab it. If using FCP, you can then work on the audio in SoundTrack Pro. From there, you can make a DVD either with DVD Studio Pro or iDVD.

Ok, I dont have FCP.... I have to use iMovie.
Im am completely new to video, other than transfering clips into iMovie from a digital camcorder.
The camera we are using is a good bit more professional than that.
I think it has a USB output. So should I just connect it to my mac, then open iMovie to capture the video, and hit record?
Sorry for sounding as noobie as I could possibly be!!
I am under a good bit of stress, cuz I have been promising him I would help him with this, and we are gonna attempt it this Friday.

Sorry for not responding sooner... I had a couple of fires to put out, as well as bodies to hide  , and everything seemed to fall through the cracks.
You should just be able to record with the camera and then use iMovie to bring everything in. From there, you should be good to go.

I completely understand you psychopath S.O.B.
He canceled on me so, I'll have to wait to try and work on that project.
Once I import the video clips into iMovie, can I bring the video into my Logic session correct?
Thanks for all your help Jord.....Really!
Not just saying that.
