SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND
EACH NIGHT AT TEN-THIRTY I'M ONE HANDED TYPING
TEASING, AROUSING THE GIRL OF MY DREAMS
SHE'S SIXTEEN AND LIVES WITH HER MOMMY AND DADDY
SHE SAYS THAT I'M THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL SHE'S NEVER SEEN
MY SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND
MY SWEET CYBER GIRL
MY SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND
I SMILE AS I SEND HER MY MAKE-BELIEVE KISSES
I TELL HE I LONG FOR THE WARMTH OF HER TOUCH
SHE CRIES FOR THE FEAR IT WILL ALL END IN FAILURE
BUT HOW CAN IT FAIL WHEN I LOVE MY SWEET BABY SO MUCH ?
MY SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND
MY SWEET CYBER GIRL
MY SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND
YOU DON'T KNOW ME
IF I DON'T EVEN KNOW MYSELF
STILL YOU SHOW ME
PIECES OF
THE GIRL I WANT TO BE
EVERY FEW MONTHS SHE STILL EMAILS HER ADDRESS
HOPING THAT SOMEDAY WE FINALLY WILL MEET
SHE SENT A PICTURE BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S HER
SHE'S PROBABLY UGLY AND FAT
AND A GUY JUST LIKE ME
MY SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND
MY SWEET CYBER GIRL
MY SWEET CYBER GIRLFRIEND

verse
If you stayed another night
would it really make a difference
we both know its a lie
but would that get in the way?
You know I have to try
to break through the indifference
to strike dry tinder spark
to make truth out of inference
chorus
So, here we are
at the flashpoint
We stand apart
in the crucible of dreams
Awaiting the chance
to dance
and claim the space between
where you and I would join
and never be the same again
verse
So the game is over, so you say
but you're still playing, anyway
I will follow to a certain point
before the trail becomes too cold
The story's old, and it unfolds
like so many stories yet untold
and still I know that this one's different
Please just tell me this one's different
chorus
So, here we are
at the flashpoint
we stand apart
in the crucible of dreams
Awaiting the chance to dance
and claim the space between
Where you and I would join
and never be the same again
verse
Did you think I was the type
to wait alone, to stand apart
to make some offhand vow
to take a hollow promise?
It's not that I
want to see you compromised
or cut back down to size
but you must realize
chorus
That here we are
At the flashpoint
we stand apart
in the crucible of dreams
awaiting the chance to dance
and claim the space between
Where you and I would join
and never be the same again

Dysfunctional Families
(c) Goes211 - 2007
Families, families...
Sitting all the way to the right
is a brother who might
be intending to slowly drink his way out of life
and all because of his wife
who doesn't want any kids
'cause heaven forbid
it would ruin her figure
and those sensuous lines
and now is not a good time
to bring this argument here
all my dysfunctional families
will quickly hide the anomalies
and all those weaknesses get
brushed under the carpet
if you please
all my dysfunctional families
dismissing all of your fantasies
and any enterprise you might be so ambitious
to achieve
uncle tells predictable joke
how I wish he would choke
when his sermon starts leaning all the way to the right
showing the racist inside
while my auntie pretends
that she has a few friends
who claim "all of the Arabs are not quite so bad
but isn't it sad
that all these people are here"
all my dysfunctional families
all my dysfunctional families
mother sits and watches it all
feeling quite appalled
by this sorry collection of unspeakable fears
wishes her husband was here
cause he'd be speaking his mind
to my dysfunctional families
with all their idiosyncrasies
they're oh so charming 'round the table
"some more gravy,
Darling, please"
all my dysfunctional families
with all their idiosyncrasies
can be quite charming 'round the table
"some more wine,
if you please"
Inspired by the movie "Secrets & lies (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117589/)",
and only partially autobiographical. :D

Paper Heart
by McAllister
(c) 2007 The Weirdo Deluxe
This paper heart upon my wall
I used a double piece of tape
to make sure it would never fall
You wrote to me in silver pen
the finest words I've never read
and every day I read again
I love you forever signed your name
And so it's there for all to see
that I have taken care
of the heart that you have given me
I love you forever this I know
This paper heart I'm glad to show
and though it stays right here
I take it with me everywhere I go

Invisible Man
by spkguitar
(c) 2007 Bad Habit Music
Down and out, got no place to go
(I've) Got no shelter for the winter snows
I've got no hope I've got no future now
I want to leave but I don't know how
I wait here for someone to help me out of the cold
I wait for salvation...
I'm not your problem you don't give a damn
Nine-to-five-ing for the wealthy man
Gotta make more money; got to make ends meet
While I shiver at home in a dead end street
It's no use pretending; I won't go away when you're gone
There's no sign of ending...
Can't you see me? I'm the invisible man
Homeless and hungry on the streets again
Fighting for life 'cause that's all that I have
You can't see me; I'm the invisible man.
I get no mail I get no telegrams
All my possessions I hold in my hand
I've got no hope I've got no future now
I want to leave but I don't know how
I wait here for someone to help me out of the cold
I wait for salvation...
Can't you see me? I'm the invisible man
Homeless and hungry on the streets again
Fighting for life 'cause that's all that I have
You can't see me...
Can't you see me? I'm the invisible man
Homeless and hungry on the streets again
Fighting for life 'cause that's all that I have
You can't see me...
You can't see me...
You can't see me; I'm the invisible man.
