I just noticed that the Behringer digital mixer isn't available in the US anymore. Any ideas why? Some more lawsuits or patent violations or something?

Yes.

Owners of the term "suck" want the usage of the word restored.

Apparently the owners of the word feel that Behringer makes the word "suck" look so much worse than it actually is due to the frequent usage of the two words together.

Kinda like a "Kleenex" versus "Tissue" issue. If you said "bring me a little bit of suck" your assistant would say "which behringer was that?"

Dude. That's totally unfair. I have a perfectly good 4 channel Behringer compressor sitting on top of some lyric sheets keeping them from blowing away.

That's pretty much it. I remember hearing about something not passing FCC regulations as well but I'm not sure if it was this particular item or not. I do know it works just fine, just like a Yam... I mean, a Behringer should!

When it dies [and it will, considering its bar environment] we'll replace it with something more robust. Digital mixer + live gig = instant headache. Wasn't my idea and I dont touch it. It's my brother's rig and he can enjoy hunting through the menus while the monitors are screaming at 2K. On the other hand, having the ability to recall scenes for each venue would be handy as hell.
