Yahoo To Cut Staff

By Antony Bruno, Billboard

Internet giant Yahoo announced it plans to cut 1,000 jobs as part of a restructuring that has been long rumored. Exactly where the cuts will come was not revealed, but said it will come from "low profit" areas. Rumors have been swirling that the Yahoo Music division could be seriously affected.

Note that Yahoo's music division is rumored to be a low-profit area. Are the wheels coming off of the internet free-for-all already? :Surprised: :Coolio:

Microsoft just announced a hostile takeover of Yahoo!

Microsoft has been wanting to get it's hands around Yahoo's neck for quite some time.

Bloomberg reports that "stock futures rally on news that M$ wants to buy Yahoo". Like HUH? How does the announcement that M$ is trying to rebuild their monopoly create a rally across the stock market? Another house of cards in the making?

Yep. Proof of my theory that the stock market is nothing more than a ponzai scheme designed to suck money out of the pockets of the general public.

And while I'm here, don't miss out on your chance to buy prime oceanfront real estate in Montana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_model)! It's going quick!
