Bonjour,
I (or to be more precise, my browser) does not stay logged in
for longer than about 10 minutes, after that I have to log in again.

The browser is Mozilla Firefox 2.0, and I've doubled checked the
session cookies, they are still there so there's no reason why the
forum software could think I'm not logged in anymore.
Does anyone else has the same problem?

Yesfans.com uses vBulletin forum software, as this place does. I used to get logged off for looking at my screen cross-eyed...

... until I started checking the "remember me" box at login. No worries since.

That may work for you.

check the time ?

if your PC clock is set too fast it can cause cookies to already be expired the instant they land on your machine... the site probably has other code that keeps you logged in for 10 minutes regardless of cookies (there's always gonna be one browser that rejects cookies no matter what)

i'd turn the time down by 5 minutes and see if it makes a diff... if not, turn it down by 10 !

Click the "remember me" when logging in, and all your problems will be solved.

Enjoy,

Mixerman

Really ALL problems? Fantabulous!

But this workaround is a bit strange because 'normally' the
"remember me" checkbox should create persistent cookies (kept
in RAM AND saved to disk as well instead of keeping the RAM
version only), that means as long as I don't close the browser
there should not (in fact, must not) be a difference. Programmer's bad...

Anyway, your workaround works, case closed.

Thanks a lot.
