Been playing with Logic (ie. trying to learn) for about a month now. I must say, out of the gate, the sound is a world away from protools. Everything just sounds better, fatter. Need to do less tweaking. Maybe it's just a perception thing.

Getting around the interface is a completely different story for me though, I find it very unintuitive and my PT workflows do not translate very well into this world.

Now - I've gone about as far as I can tinkering on my own, Can anyone vouch for the content on the Mac Pro Video Tutorials
for Logic? at $50 each, I'd like to have a recommendation before I pick a couple up.

I think it's better to just mess around than bother with the tutorial videos. I watched some; the videos don't tell you where the quirks and bugs are.

Use it with your workflow and reference the manual whenever you get stuck somewhere.

For me, the transition from d-verb to space designer did it all. Sounds better than any of the reverb plugins I've purchased, which haven't been reinstalled in years..

In my very humble opinion - YES. MacProVideo Logic tutorials are very good.

With that said .... I would recommend the "Mastering Logic 7" over the "Core Logic 8" video. I own both - but I feel I learned more from the "Mastering Logic 7" tutorial, and am still able to use what I learned in Logic 8 (FWIW).

I also have the EXS24, and Mixing Electronica videos as well. I have found these to be informative & entertaining, and have watched them more than a couple of times - but I am an old fart who has kids that hog the living room TV

I think they are helpful videos, though.

Just my 2¢

Take care.
