what kind of nail-clippers do kids use? i use just the standard big silver kind, where the lever swings open and is used for clamping and cutting...
by the way when do you know when it is time, for me its when i use the trackpad on my macbook and the nails touch it before my finger does...
and which nancy boys here get manicures? it has been recommended to me, but i really cant bring myself to do it.

We're in an audio forum here, so we avoid clipping, especially digital clipping.
Can't speak for Kenny, tho.

I know one guy around here who's a specialist for pulling birds while getting a manicure.
Pretty damn impressive.

Le hehehehe... sure Goes... whatever you say!:Roll eyes::Roll eyes:
FWIW.... I do my own nails as most manicurists are not qualified to handle such godly perfection. Simple clippers for the left hand but rarely to never on the right. I also file cross-grain which is generally a no-no but works for me.
A nice polymer padded two-sider for grit and buff is the trick.
I have been at the cottage for the last two months working on weeds and trees so the babies are a bit neglected but here is a picture of my digit gifts.

I use standard Revlon toenail clippers for fingernail duty, as fingernail clippers are sized too small for my manly hands.

Well, being of the electrical shop persuasion, I use yer basic jensen wire clips, aka side snippers. It's always a good thing when a tool can serve a dual purpose.
But. I have a manicure foam block from Linda's collection of such things to get it all smoothed out. The combination works great.
So. Whatever ya got is whatever it takes.

Well... I suppose that Kenny's forum is a good place to ask that. Do you have a pierced tongue as well?

see, its really the filing that gets me to not go mani, a file on my nails seems like well, nails on a chalkboard, i can already feel the small unsympathetic vibrations at the base of my spine, and there is no file within 500 yards of me currently(actually there is a nail place half a block away)...
do mani-pedi places offer nitrous oxide?
in that case i may go regularly just for that...

I like to keep my nails long enough to comfortably scratch my balls, but short enough to not cause any accidental damage during a vigorous scratching session.
It's a fine line.
