Honeysuckle Rose (http://home.cogeco.ca/~eyrespace/Samples/Honeysuckle%20Rose.mp3) - Sue Jacques
I learned to use bleed as my ally while working on this project. We tracked 21 songs in 7 hours, all live, no overdubs, no headphones. The piano is a 1934 Steinway baby grand. Most of the drum sound is coming through the piano mics!

what a beautiful piece to listen to as i head off to bed....
ok...so i'm literally the hugest fan of this music - give me billie, sarah, nina, koko, anytime...that said...this is gorgeous.
if i had to say anything....and i mean had to i would say that the artist is 100% spot on - until 1:10 at which point i feel like she is now a vocalist singing - this happens again at 3:16...could be those particular lyrics she is wrapping herself around...but geez...i'd have to be admitted to the OCD ward to actually mention this in person...and i am only saying any of this comparing this to some of the GREAT songs i've listened to over 100 times...
it's beautiful...gorgeous.
thank you again.

great sound...a good sounding piano in good sounding room is a winning combination.
tasteful performances, nice balance in the mix, good work all around.
what kind of mic/pre/placement is on the vox?

Shure Beta 87/Presonus Digimax/Digi002r/about two inches in front of the vocalist, who was also playing the piano.
The Beta 87 has a very tight pattern, great for off axis rejection.
