Hello,
Here is a mix that I did of this song last week. Really appreciate the opportunity Charles Dye and all those who put these files together to have such great performances to practice my mixing skills on.
I can break down the mix later if any are interested.
Thanks for listening!

Some interesting creativeness i can hear some cool effects...
However there seems a few main issues I would address.
Compression, you squished it to death im afraid to say. Those drums you gotta find the trasients and then remove bits away, don't just crush em.
The vocals are pushed to the right in my hearing, not sure if that was ment.
But I wouldn't feel too bad, the assistance around here has changed the way i mix.
I'd suggest mixing it with more of a process ie. Volume first, then pan then think about eq, and only then dive into compression. The best suggestion i had was dont use any effects at first, dont use anything but volume and panning and then eq and stop there!
Above all though don't go the presets root. Sometimes its nice to see how others might eq a drum (but I think you need to be able to hear that drum, not just a drum preset) but learn your own tricks, its more fun!

Hello,
Thanks for the feedback. My first rock mix to be honest. Had a blast though. Yes the drums were heavily compressed, a creative choice.
No presets were used, I like to create most all of my own sound treatments.
Thanks for listening!

When you say a creative choice how do you mean?
I would use a creative choice to place emphasis on a certain part of the music. How would you say your creative choice benefits the song?

I wanted the drums to have a kind of slightly over compressed sound to its overall sound. Not heavy pumping but a thick boxy sound in terms of its dynamics. Some may like this choice some may not. This was my creative decision concerning the drums.
