Original owner; it comes with 2 caddies, two almost new 160GB drives (that's about 14 hours of 24 track recording per drive!), the LRC and the manual. Very, very clean, works perfect!
The HD24 is built exclusively for the purpose of recording music instead of data, resulting in remarkable stability and performance. HD24 enables engineers to record up to 24 tracks of high-resolution 24-bit recording at 44.1 and 48 kHz sample rates.
Two hot-swappable media bays provide convenient access to recording drives and allow data backup in minutes. You can edit tracks internally or easily transfer to computer via an Ethernet connection.

Ok, crap, I lowered the price to $950, it's really, really, really clean, and the drives are almost brand new, so you're getting a great deal!

If I had a thousand bucks, it'd be mine!
Alas I barely have lunch money...

Now it only has to be $950 bucks; this saves you $50 to buy a bottle of glen!

I'm just about to pop my first bottle of Tito's, unavailable in my locale. There's 3 part bottles of various glens if time allows.

This might help, Crunch....
To me the biggest issue I have using the HD24 to record is the fan noise. It's intensely distracting in a quiet setting.
This shot is of my HD24 rear end before the fan upgrade.

The red LEDs are....different, but at least they let me know the fan is powered on. The fan costs all of $10. A real wallet lightener.
Dig the new wire grill for increased air-flow.
Here's another tip for HD24 considerees. Don't buy the $200 firewire drive adapter from alesis. Read this page -

Never really bugged me, it was off in the distance, I just don't really use mine anymore, leading to:
HD24tools is free.
That is one cool freakin' app. I sure detested doing 10MB ftp transfer (that was really 4.5MB transfers), so I wish I knew about this a few years ago. I looked years ago for something like this but I guess they didn't have it yet... very impressive, thanks for the link. Still don't know what I'm going to do with this, we sold the console...
Maybe you need 48 tracks?
:D

Sorry, this is a great deal you're offering, but times are tough. And I want the EC2 converter upgrade before I go 48.
Just so everyone is informed, the standard HD24 has gone up from $1499 to $1599 for most of the major online gear dealers. Makes this deal even sweeter.
