    Default Mix it tracks

Unfortunately I wasnt arround these parts when the mixit 3 event took place, Dooooohhhhhhh

I feel that ive really missed out on a fantastic oppertunity.

Does anybody have the tracks avalible on ftp or that could Skype them to me, if of course the band wouldnt object.

I have really enjoyed listening to the different mixes and would love to have a go myself. I love the track!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Uh oh. Re: Mix it tracks

    Thanks again to all involved!

Ive already learnt a whole load from doing this, I'm not stasified as yet with this mix but id like to post it as id appreciate any comments or critique.

Its not really my mix as ive done a fair bit of analasis on Mixermans mix whilst working.

So i certainly wont be posting any mix notes!

Im particulary interested to know how this translates as I'm trying to get my head around this at the moment.

    Cheers

I understand your frustration, and you seem to realise the task is not at first as obvious.

One of the things I did ith this mix is to mix it with nothing but faders and pan, try it, and compair it to this mix, it can show you what you have lost and gained from your starting point.

However it has to be said that you have remained sensible on the use of compression, ie nothing obvious except possibly some compression on the overall mix that swallows a bit now and then - ive had this issue before, sometimes its a case of finding out whats poking throught to trigger the main bus compressor (or limiter?)

    Thanks for your input!

In my haste to post something I'd left a drum comp clipping!
    Was that the offending beast?
    Cheers!

Sounds like a great idea the naked mix, i'll get on to that for a comparison!

Here's a revised mix if you have the time, i'll pull the other one.

    Cheers
