Wee, post-Waters floyd turns inexplicably into Tower of Power? No, something else. Either this isn't an English lyric or I've just had a really serious flashback makes it more difficult to tell if the lyrics are good

Song 2- I thought this might be an English version, but sure enough it's a whole different song I'm picturing a really cool bar where all they serve is drinks made with wine, fruit juices and umbrellas. It used to be very smoky, but they've made new rules where you can't smoke, and by the time they did, nobody who still goes to the bar minded. They have very dark sunglasses, and very pastel silk suits

keks - guitar, coro (bgv), hand claps
    shhpeaceful - drums
    Baeli - guitar
    Tptman - brass
    Qwezi's Sugar Mama - oboe
Ein Mangfaldig Kar - fabulous ideas and support
Humpy the Clown and Clave Maria - percussion
    QweziRider - bass, producer

    Do You Know Her Name

    houston_fred - songwriting, keys
    qharley - mix
    ParamB - vocals
    shhpeaceful - drums, acoustic guitar
    Baeli - bass
    keks - electric guitar
Ein Mangfaldig Kar - More support!

Webs, I appreciate your thoughts. But I do have to give credit to the whole team for the twists and chances. These guys threw out more ideas and kept the ball rolling so much. They were the life blood of this Cape. The biggest challenges I had from my end were "honey, what in the hell are we going to do with your oboe?" and "Why are you mad, honey? You said the oboe and clave's are made of the same type of wood. I was just thinking we could save a little money......"

This was another good team of people with which to work.

Adventurous, lots of twists and turns, and horns t'boot! Love it!

And then you flip it over and the B side is killer too?

    No kidding, right?

I love these tunes! I have a soft spot for the latin grooves, and that first one gets me good!

When I hear Quezi's stuff, I always know what I wanna do when I grow up!

There is absolutely nothing that is out of his fingers, as this song shows. The instrumentation is IT!!! The horns are still making me duck!

ParamB, you approach to each of these was spot-on...you gave a listener a local address to send the fan-mail...great job!

And I was hooked at the first zipper-pull of the electric in Do You Know...perfect placement.

Thanks for opening our eyes again.

    Great songs, great performances!

"Do You Know Her Name", Send this one to Chris Issak, he would love this one ! It could be the sequel to his "Wicked Games." Team Relentless, perfect mix for this song. Loved the tasty lead guitar, vox, keys, drums, bass. The whole package worked for this song, Congrat's Team Relentless and houston_fred.

Oboe? Who'd'a thunk it would have fit in so well with a Santana-meets-Eddie Palmieri groove?

When I speak of my montuno being infantile, this is what I mean. Houston Fred has this nailed down and I will be studying this hard. Props also to Qwezi's elastic bass and Tptman's brass section-- not much beyond his range either.

Really I want to shake my hips to both of these songs, which is a shame because I can't shake my hips in time well at all. Do You Know Her Name would not have been out of place on an early Santana record like Abraxas, and I can see people doing the rhumba or the mambo quite easily to this. It's a vibe we don't really hear enough of any more, this fusion of Latin sensibilities into something that rocks like this.

I like the spirit of Fama. It's great to get something nice and DIFFERENT.
    Great horns and guitars.

    DYKHN is REALLY something.

This actually sounds like a hit song. I thought Chris Isaak too.

I love everything about this song, with a special fondness for the jazzy guitar lines. It is really stuck in my head. Like, I wake up with it playing in my mind.

    Kudos to all.
