A playlist of one of the Beastie Boys less known albums, but one of my favourite.

Really sad, but considering how hard he had it trying to fight a salivary gland cancer he is definitely now in a better place.

Wherever he went I hope someone passes him the mic, Beastie Boys really had an amazingly positive effect in music, not only for their records but for bridging hip hop across to metalheads and hardcore punks that would not otherwise have ventured that way.

    He'll be sorely missed.

Adam and the B-Boys did more for bringing Hip Hop to the masses than a lot of people like to admit.
    Made his mark for sure.
    RIP MCA.

There are very few people out there who don't like at least one Beastie Boys song, regardless of what genre of music they usually listen to. That kind of crossover appeal is exceedingly rare.

Indeed, they had an appeal that crossed genres, not many artists can claim to have done that.

Damn it, the grim reaper has been quite active this year, and to think we're not even halfway...
