Hmmm I think I can see a second team hatching here... I can do drums, voxes, and even a little clarinet if needed (take the last one with a pinch of salt, I ain't been playing long)

I think you have a great idea there HB.

I don't want anyone waiting on a spot to open up. Plus, I'd like to hear what ya'll cook up.
If I had a nickle for every project I have struggled to finish that ended up not panning out, I'd have a bag full nickles. I would then use that bag of nickles to beat selected former band members. ~BlackieC

    OK fellaz

We want you guys late to the gate to get a chance to work on the project. If anyone of you still want to hang we'll drop an A/B thing.

As long as you guys are considering weird instruments, talk to me if you want some "old skool" record scratching. I got plenty of vinyl to sift through for the perfect 'flavor' (I can keep it nice and legal too), but I can also add a little spice to any recorded track. Scratch in the vocal delay, add some "slippery" kicks, or whatever.

It's not the kind of thing that works with every song--although I immensely enjoy working it into music outside of hip hop--but what the hell?

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is "A/B"?

Has the to-be-produced/recorded song already been written?

    is there a song?

if so i'd really like a link to the barest, most stripped down version possible.

And who is on this team?

all i know for sure is halfblood and I.

I'll make a drop box, if you want in to the "b" team send me your email and i'll invite you.

(the name to be determined later, preferably by someone not on the team)

well if there are going to be a few teams and anyone needs a song I could stick 3 or 4 demos in a drop box within the next week. I can also play some rhythm guitar or harp or attempt a mix and maybe co-produce, if there's a need. Always wanted to be in cape but until recently my internet was not up to scratch, so now that I've joined the twentieth century out here in the wilds of Canada I'd be happy to contribute songs at the least. Take care, Logan

I'd never participate of cape before and I have a doubt... Isn't cape annualy? When the cape 11 comes? Is something happening?
    Mixing is exactly like cooking:

If you've got really fresh and tasty ingredients, you only need a couple ones and the challenge is to preserve their natural flavors and select those that will naturally enhance each others.

On the other hand, if you're stuck with stale canned stuff...
Bring on the salt, sugar and fat and let's make some overcooked stew, dripping in gooey gravy...

This is the semi unofficial official "Don't wait for CAPE" CAPE ;-)

With a little organization we could almost turn this into a distributed music factory :-)

Guitar hack with previous. Stand well back. May sing...

With great monitors its easy to hear and fix problems but hard to enhance things that already sound good.

With hyped monitors, everything sounds good so you don't hear the problems.

With bad monitors, it seems easy to make absolutely anything sound better because you are really fixing the sound of the monitors rather than the sound of the recording.

If I had a digital rig that I didn't absolutely hate I'd love to participate. But I don't and swapping analog tapes around the world isn't really practical. So I lose out. Wish I was there.... :(
