Default Bounced File Sounds Different From Project

Hello, I'm new, I'm Italian and speak not so good english, anyway i think i can be understanded.
I use Logic and i like so much, the only thing it always worries me is the bounce, cause the wav track is always different from as it sounds in the logic project..

    Any others like me?

    Cheers

    Hello Lorenzo!

I am not sure...? Have you put the bounced file back into Logic and listened against the unmixed tracks?

    An A/B test?

    Do you use virtual instruments?
They often have some kind of humanizing that makes it sounds different everytime.

I moved this conversation to its own appropriate thread in the forum for better visibility.

I think the best place to start is: describe different.

Yes, a detailed description of how the OP goes through bouncing is needed.

Instinctively, I suspect this is a "chapter one" type problem.

Chapter One Problem = in otek vernacular, something very basic and fundamental, as in "chapter one of the manual" type stuff.

Not meant as an offense to the OP - in fact, it seems most profound problems, such as "my mixes sound different", "I'm getting no signal", "why is it so dark in here" and "where's all that smoke coming from", are almost always of the Chapter One category.

I have exactly those issues here, but couldn't find a good answer in the Cubase manual. If somebody has the most recent manual-update (the answer must be somewhere in the introduction part), please pm me. Thx.

Oh, what's that switch on the wall there...?

    Five bucks says he's normalizing.

Ten bucks says he's got EQ and Sound "Enhancement" turned on in iTunes.

Well actually - it might just be Cubase... I have the same experience and have learned to compensate (sort of). It's a known issue on steinberg / Cubase forums, that "something" happens to the mix during mix down, that alters the sound of the mix slightly, from playback in the DAW... I never found any explanation. The change in sound is also very difficult to describe as it is very small... YMMV
