We woulda beat them if we'd let Moore finish the game. The Giants are known for stuff like that.

Very poor bullpen choices and performance this year.

And this making decisions by pitch count is idiocy.
Agreed. The second half of the year was nuts when it came to the bullpen. I think coaches and players alike shared that blame.
Best team in baseball coming into the all-star break, worst team in the league the second half...largely due to the bullpen issues.

    Go Jays!!

This time of the year, yeah. If you're worried about the guy's next start, that's one thing, but in the post-season, let him pitch.

Did the Dodgers win that game last night, or did Washington lose it!?!? It was a heck of a game to watch either way!

You know, I think the Dodgers did win it. Their decision to actually use their best pitchers in the most critical spots (SHOCKING!) was the deciding factor. (I'm pretty strongly of the opinion that the "closer" idea is kind of dumb.)

That was a good one. Especially if you're a Cubs guy. The Jays look flat and like they might not be able to get the magic back in time.

Man, playoff baseball is almost as good as playoff hockey!

The thing I'm loving about the playoffs so far is the unusual, and RATIONAL, use of the bull pens. I'm not entirely sure about the Kershaw save, but it seems to have worked out for them!

But great game, tonight, for sure!

What exactly is "rational" about pulling Michael Moore from a winning game so that Javier Lopez can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

    And screw Kershaw!

Hahaha. Well... SF maybe the exception to the rule this postseason. But their bullpen has been the subject of debate all season...and there's nothing like the playoffs to shine a light on that. I don't think it was a single bad decision or move that hurt them. I think it was a seasons worth of baggage that played into how they handled the bullpen in the Cubs series.

    Personally... I blame Taylor Swift.

As for the Kershaw save, his confidence is high and his will to win is undeniable right now. I say ride that horse till it bucks ya. Which he may happen...

The Dodgers Cubs series has been fantastic and I can't wait for Game 3.

Well, Kershaw is out of the way now for this series - we shall see what happens next.

And I believe that if Lopez had not gone in in the last inning we would have won the game and likely the series.

No way. He'll throw game 5. And if it goes 7, I'll bet you he's in the pen.

Question right now is, who can beat the Indians. They look solid!

No, the question is who can beat the Dodgers (or the Cubs).

when the Indians tied it in the 8th, i was certain they'd win.

    But congrats to the Cubs!

quite a last game all round.

(and replay proved its value several times over during the series)
