    I wish I more frequently had enough time to gain some objectivity before I mixed. I rarely do, but it sure is nice when I can.

    I love to take the song for a bus ride. At least walking among people in a city. And the "next room" listening trick is what I use as well. Low volume - next room. Also try while reading a newspaper or similar.
    All the above stuff is good. Take a drive. In traffic! I think the attention required to drive only leaves lower level brain functions so you don't focus only same things you'e been listening to - for hours.
    I kinda like the way the music has to come get your attention when your doing something else!
