I would have to go dig up my discs of Cape I and II to be fair, but just going by memory the Team Chardonnay track always floats my boat. The tasty bass work of Malice and the tres sexy vocals by JG are pretty hard to top.

I like a number of CAPE tunes from years gone by, but the one that stands out the most for moi is, "Slip into Darkness", from CAPE II with Goes on z' vox. Such great Moogy-goodness in that tune, and it's niiiice and crisp and clean in the mix.

I forget the team name though, maybe someone'll be able to fill in that blank for me?

Yeah, that was our Team Europa from CaPE I...

My personal fave or the first that comes to mind (alongside the very cool tracks that I was fortunate to be a part of) would probably be Team Industry... And what was the CaPE I track that Moogus mixed? That was tres cool.

Hmm... lots of good tunes. I can't come up with a favorite for every CaPE, but the big standouts were:
CaPE 2 - Team Bunny, I think, "Killing Fields of Gray"
    CaPE 3? - Team ???, "She Disappears"
CaPE 3? - Team Chardonnay, "Circumstantial Evidence of Love"
    And of course Team Galactic!

Thumbs Up! Re: what's your favourite CaPE track?

Thanks for the toasts to Chardonnay!

And yes, "She Disappears", is also one of the tunes that rubs me the right way. Same with Downbeat's Motown-Homage-sounding tune.

    Long flap the CAPE.

    Team Zodiac

The dulcet tones of 'jstuart', and the amazing lyrics of 'big furry'.
..... and of course a mix to "Dye" for
Probably my most enjoyable Cape so far.

I particularly appreciated the Team Progression tune from CaPE IV (although the mp3 doesn't do the music justice).

I'd like to find out more about that tune... what's the title, who wrote it, who sang it. played on it, mixed it, etc. There is no imbedded information in the mp3 file that I can display (unlike some of the other submissions).

Is it available in a higher-fi format anywhere?

    Thanks guys...

I always come back to CaPE2 Team Bunny.
Great song, and Bunner just nailed the vocal.

I'll admit I haven't gone thoroughly back through all the CAPE archives, but of those I have heard, Team Galactic is definitely my favourite. Love it.

I just saw this thread...but have to bump it. I've been lurking since summer '02 and was waiting with bated breath on the day Cape I was released. My faves:

For sentimental value: Team Biker Bar (I). First Cape song I heard. I still laugh every time. "Stab me with a brick" indeed. So many inside jokes, I think I caught some of them but I'm sure dozens flew over my head.

Anything with guitars by Trazan. OMFG. Europa (I), Bunny (II), Galactic (III), Womb (IV), Omen (V). My all-time favorite guitar part: the chorus arpeggio part (clean, tremolo) for Team Womb. If I ever become half the guitarist Trazan is, I will consider my musical career a resounding success. He's probably had more influence over my playing style (err...attempted playing style) in the last few years than any other single guitarist.

Also anything sung by JenBeast. Team Intuition (II) and Independence (III) I think. "This is my little...love song...to you" what a killer hook. I don't know if I've ever heard a better hook.

Special mention for Down Undah (I). My favorite track from the first Cape. Love that snare. So poweful. And gosh, that harmonica. Chills. Also Chardonnay (III). Vocals and bass are class.

From Cape V, I've gotta say Hypnosis is my fave. Killer mix, Otek. Tyranny might be the runner up, just for the sheer transcendental size of it....but faves and runners up usually change daily.

FWIW, to prior Cape participants, I don't think you realize how much influence you've had. Thanks a million.
