    Hi,
Great to have a dedicated place to moan about Logic
    Hows this for a starter:
Who thinks Logic sounds better than PT, or worse, or equal?
    Cheers Morph

    Hey. What the fuck?

Where's the dedicated forum section for My First Recording Studio (from Mattel....ages 13 and up, batteries not included, some assembly required)?

since i'm still getting up to speed in logic i heartily approve of this forum.

i was composing a bit today. nothing good, mind you, just an exercise in checking through all of the included softsynths and other included sounds. now i wonder how often i'll use my actual keyboards as compared to keeping things in the box. i may actually sell off some of my lesser keyboard gear, use softsynths more, and use any money i get from the sales for more outboard.

looking forward to being as fast in logic as i am in digital perfomer.

ps: working in it today went splendidly. i am optimistic about being able to switch totally over to logic at some point. there are a few reasons i'm interested in logic over DP, notably things like true support for my digital mixer as a control surface. i'm really digging logic so far.

    dm2000 + logic = good

dm2000 + digital performer = no control surface for you

sucks. i've been in DP for a long time now and work pretty quick. i'm going to mess around with logic more today. when i think i can work in it at a reasonable speed i'll try to do some no pressure session in it to see how things go.

I was on Logic Gold 4.7, when Apple aquired Emagic. I didn't want to be forced into a new computer type to stay with the same software. So I bought Samplitude 6 and never looked back. It was so much easyer and intuitive to navigate Samplitude for me. My latest Samplitude is 7. I do most of my recordings in VDAT from Creamware (now sonic core) now. It is just a virtual ADAT (going up to 96/32 though - and stackable till 64/128 tracks depending on resolution and PC resources), and it has forced me to fix less and re-record more, which again is a good thing for me music-vice. But if I want to fool around with the tracks in a destructive manner (the creamware/sonic core stuff comes with a bunch of real time DSP mixers, effects and synths), I just fire up Samplitude and often think about how lucky I was, that Apple bought Emagic and "inspired" me to switch to Samplitude and the (for me) much easyer work flow.
